DROP IT VS EVIL - {5678 Film Club}
POlyglot Theatre

Role: facilitator, videographer, editor, animator
5678 Film Club was a three-year project that supported young people making the transition between primary and secondary school in Collingwood, Melbourne.
It ran as a weekly after-school film club where Polyglot Theatre and professional filmmakers undertook creative workshops with participants from Grades 5 – 8.

For this project I facilitated a group of young people to make this short film over a term - the whole process centered the young peoples' ideas so my role was to give them tools to develop the narrative and characters and help facilitate making it, as well as shooting and editing it.

I co-facilitated this project with Sarah Ward.

The film also included a short animation which I put together from the young peoples' drawings.
This was one of my favourite projects to work and the whole 5678 Film Club project was evaluated to have fantastic outcomes for the participants.
